World Bank has
introduced the City Development Strategy to Vietnam through the
project with Halong and Cantho, two medium sized cities in the
north (Halong) and the south (Cantho) of Vietnam
The project has been conducted by
the National Institute of Urban and Rural Planning (NIURP-MoC)
with the supervision of international expert, Michael Paddon
from the Institute for Sustainable Future (ISF) Australia.
Ly Quang Dong has been recruited
by World Bank to support Michael Paddon in working with NIURP
team.
The project lasted for over one
year and has been evaluated as a crucial tool for formulating
the development strategy for small and medium sized city / town
in Vietnam. At the end of the project, a national workshop held
to disseminate the lesson learnt to other town / cities in
Vietnam |
